| The asian BDs like for example the Japanese, has the English audio in DTS-HD MA 6.1. It sadly has the same quality, but at least the audio quality is improved. |

| Oh, and I forgot to mention that when the grain ISN'T swirling through the frame in an abnormal fashion, it's usually because it's been eliminated entirely. DNR frequently scrubs the image to airbrush softness. |

| This was an early BD purchase for me, and one of a few upgrades that have left me feeling burned. It got high marks from virtually every review site upon its release,
and the screenshots don't tell the whole story. In motion, the grain appears horribly processed, often moving out of the way of objects in frame, as if it were floating in the air on the movie's set,
suspended in a layer of invisible oil. This is truly ugly digital processing, and I honestly can't recommend this release to anyone. If you don't already have the movie, this is probably the best transfer available, its obvious flaws aside...but for anyone who already owns the DVD, I wouldn't recommend upgrading to this harsh-looking, over-digitized presentation. |
