| Look at screen grabs 1, 5 and 6, edge enhancement is prominent and it looks like noise reduction has also been applied to some scenes in this transfer, perhaps they
are using an outdated old master, detail is obviously better than the DVD which has more edge enhancement too but personally i think this release is a fail because on a projection 100plus inch screen
the EE would look horrendous. Shame as i like the film and it has a wonderful rousing musical score. Blu ray promised so much but quality control once again lets it down and only new releases seem guaranteed to have great quality, film grain is not evil, embrace it and if its part of the original photography accept it or accept mediocrity, unfortunately too many are accepting this sort of transfer. I bought into blu ray thinking it would be an end to studio's edge sharpening their releases, how wrong i was. |

| Ohja die böse böse Blu-ray, 95% aller Erscheinungen sind auf DVD Niveau & es lohnt sich gar nicht sie mehr zu kaufen, ganz klar auf den Nachfolger warten, größte Enttäuschung des jungen Jahrtausends... (--> Ironie) :-D ihr komischen Leute |

| I picked this up as I am a sucker for westerns. The bluray isn't stellar but, this is definitely an improvement over the dvd big time. |

| Ach du meine Güte. Die Anzahl der Blurays, die sich nicht auf diesem Format lohnen nimmt ja Massenmarktqualität an. Ich glaube, die Bluray ist nun Mainstream und hat
die DVD abgelöst. Jetzt warten wir auf den Nachfolger, damit wir uns auf bessere versionen von diesen FIlmen freuen können. Was die sich alles erlauben. |
